Doors, windows and a bit of painting…
I’ve made a bit of progress on the interior of my model narrowboat which was supplied in kit form from Dean’s Marine, Peterborough. I’ve fitted most of the windows and doors and done a bit of painting including the hull, which I may leave in black or I may add a bit of colour, see how I feel further along the build. I was going to use an aerosol spray paint to do the hull, but decided to brush paint it instead, it looks a bit more original. I’ve also bought myself an inexpensive mini drill set which has been invaluable for trimming the windows and doors to fit. It is one fiddly job and in doing so, I have learnt that as I’ve got older I am sadly lacking in patience, which is something I had plenty of in my signwriting days – though that was a long time ago, over 35 years. Never mind, I will keep plodding on and I will start to tidy up and paint the interior next.
Keep watching this space. Ed
