The 66 mile long Shropshire Union Canal is one of Britain’s most popular waterways. Bridge Inn: Overlooking the canal at bridge 14, the Bridge Inn has real ale and ciders, delicious home-cooked food and it’s dog-friendly – what more could you ask for? It normally stocks three resident beers and two guest ales that are changed regularly.
Hartley Arms: A friendly village local providing delicious, classically presented pub food at amazing prices. The Hartley Arms offers a superb variety of cask ales and ciders which can all be enjoyed whilst relaxing in their beautiful beer garden.
The Boat Inn: Tucked away in the village of Gnosall this delightful family run pub is cosy, relaxing and friendly, the perfect place if you’re looking for a warm welcome and freshly cooked food. On a nice summers day nothing beats enjoying a cold pint on the sundeck and watching the narrowboats glide by.
The Junction Inn: This large family run pub is perfectly situated by the side of the canal on the Newport Arm. Enjoy the fine food and your choice of two guest ales or the extra special ‘Junction Inn Bitter whilst taking in the idyllic views from the Junction’s beautiful beer garden.
The Anchor Inn: This traditional Victorian Inn is the epitome of an unspoilt country pub and a bulwark against modern life; it has been in the same family ever since it first opened its doors in 1870. It is both dog and family friendly with a fantastic selection of real ales and real ciders (summer only) which can all be enjoyed from its award winning garden.
Wharf Tavern: The perfect stop for hungry boaters on a summer’s day! Real ale and guest beers complemented perfectly by a menu that has a great variety of home-cooked food and a beautiful garden overlooking the canal.
The Four Alls Inn: Nestled away in the peaceful location of Woodseaves the Four Alls is a “local leader” for home cooked food and traditional ales. Renowned for its delicious lunch time carvery and fine selection of beers, ales, ciders and extensive wine list.
The Bridge Inn: This recently refurbished family friendly pub and restaurant is set in the award village of Audlem. The Bridge offers superb cask conditioned Marstons Ales, premium lagers, wines and beverages and is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink, all year round.
Oddfellows Arms: This single roomed, traditional town pub features low ceilings, an open fire and a large garden that’s perfect for relaxing on a summer’s day. There is a great selection of real ale to choose from and live music on Saturday nights.
