More than three thousand people enjoyed the Anderton Boat Lift’s Firework Spectacular on Saturday (27 October). The firework display, by multi award winning firework team, Blitz, was synchronised to music with fireworks set off from pontoons on the River Weaver.

This year, crowds enjoyed fairground rides, including the thrilling ‘Miami’ ride, Ghost Train and other children’s rides, as well as live singing and deliciously prepared affordable food.

Timothy Turner, General Manager, said: “This is one of the Lift’s top nights of the year and lived up to the billing. It was an action-packed night, with a great atmosphere and we’ve had very positive feedback from visitors. The fireworks were a truly spectacular interplay of music and sound, especially reflecting in the river.”
