Boatlife has been shortlisted twice in the AEO Event Awards, securing its position as a leading boat show.

BoatLife Events Ltd, creators of the annual BoatLife show, has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards, Best Consumer Show and Marketing Campaign of the Year, by the Association of Event Organisers (AEO). This is an incredible achievement for the show, a four-day event at the NEC Birmingham that is only in its second year and run by a relatively small team.

BoatLife Events is proud to be recognised as the only marine show to be shortlisted amongst an impressive list of popular and established exhibitions such as The Ideal Home Show, National Running Show, The Baby Show and National Outdoor Expo. BoatLife is growing rapidly in size and popularity within the boating, angling and watersports communities and is the only UK indoor show with more than 200 boats and exhibitors under one roof.

CEO and Founder of BoatLife Events, Richard Dove commented, “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for not just one but two prestigious AEO Excellence Awards! This achievement is not possible by our super team alone and so a big thank you to our team of incredible suppliers, ambassadors and exhibitors, together we have made BoatLife a truly memorable event with a very exciting future.”

A fantastic event, BoatLife provides the entire boating community with a unique opportunity to come together and celebrate their love of life on the water. From luxury powerboats to narrowboats, emerging green tech, paddleboarding and fishing, the show has become a place to reconnect with colleagues and friends, stay up-to-date and discover the latest models and innovative equipment on display. Ticket holders can take part in a number of fun activities, explore hundreds of boats, talk with exhibitors plus meet experts and hear from special guests on stage. There is something to suit every budget and interest, catering for life-long enthusiasts, hobbyists, newcomers and families alike.

Hayley Harris, MD of Ginger Agency, who were solely responsible for the marketing of the show, commented: “When you put your heart and soul into something and it is recognised like this, it really makes everything worthwhile. The whole Ginger team and partners delivered a modern, highly targeted campaign and worked hard to get new and existing boaters to the NEC. The aim was to get boats sold and they were!”

Planning and organising for BoatLife 2024 is already in full swing, with show sponsors and partners being announced imminently together with many repeat and new exhibitors already signed up. The show will be held from 15-18 February at the NEC, Birmingham and is expected to be bigger and better than before.

The 30th anniversary AEO Excellence Awards will take place on 16 June at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
