West Midlands Police are asking for help from boaters and other canal users following the murder of Michael Spalding, whose body was dumped in the Birmingham Canal Navigations.
The body of Mr Spalding was discovered off Icknield Port Road, Ladywood, on 12 May. The police still believe that vital evidence may have been dumped in the canal and are appealing to anyone who used the New Main Line in that area since mid-April, and may have seen any activity in that area involving a suitcase.
Anyone who has any information is asked to contact DC 4580 Mark Harrison at Harborne Police Station on the non-emergency police phone number 101, extension 863 3029.
