It was another fantastic year for the Crick Boat Show! To celebrate we’ve put together a few photographs of some of our favourite boats that we saw on the day.
Breaking Dawn: Breaking Dawn is a 61ft Semi-Traditional Narrowboat and is owned by a syndicate of individuals. Having purchased their shareholding, each owner has available a number of weeks each year – allocated by the Draw system in which to use their boat and in exchange contributes proportionally to the annual running costs. This enables outlay to be kept to a minimum and the fun and excitement of boating is enhanced by removing all the hassle that can sometimes be associated with private boat ownership.
Silver Melody: Silver Melody is a commission build, semi-trad narrow boat, built for year round long-term cruising. Internally Silver Melody has painted white panels framed in solid oak above the gunwhales, with solid oak tongue and groove below and on the ceiling. All of the windows and portholes are double glazed and lighting is provided by LED down-lighters and LED strip lighting through-out.
Once Bitten: Once Bittern is a 58’.5 Semi-Trad style narrow boat on a Tim Tyler shell, powered by a Beta Marine 43bhp diesel engine, Vetus electric bowthruster, and is fitted with a 2.2kw Mastervolt inverter / charger. The windows and portholes are all thermal break double glazed, there are 2 Houdinis (in the bedroom and galley), and also a glazed side hatch over the dinette supplying lots of natural light throughout the boat. The stairs from the rear deck have a ‘wet’ cupboard and electrics cupboard either side, and extend down to the bedroom wardrobe and the 6’3” bed (extends width ways from 4’ to 5’). Overhead cupboards run the length of the bed, and there is a corner cabinet for extra storage.
Chrissie: 60ft traditional narrowboat with a top specification including specialist electrical system for carefree extended cruising. The interior is fully painted and has many interesting features.
The Pioneer: The Pioneer is a brand new and exclusive to Wincham Wharf Boat Sales. A 60’x9’ Widebeam on the Trent & Mersey Canal. This unique vessel provides the best of both worlds with a touch of quality throughout.
Lynden: Lynden is a cosy yet sleek 58’ cruiser stern narrowbeam live-aboard with many bespoke details such as the beautiful handmade dresser, sculpted composite work surfaces, elegant inlaid tabletops and a unique take on sign painting.
