If you want to get into the Christmas spirit this weekend, Mercia Marina is kicking off the festive season with a Christmas Market complete with Santa’s grotto and a Christmas lights switch-on.
The market will feature dozens of festive stalls and attractions, Christmas carols, competitions, mince pies and mulled wine, as well as plenty of Christmas gift ideas from the permanent shops at the marina’s new Boardwalk development.
The marina, in Findern Lane, near Willington, is holding the event on Saturday and Sunday (November 29 and 30), from 10am-4pm each day. Admission and parking are free.
