A new fifty-berth marina by the Land & Water Group is under construction in the centre of Northwich, Cheshire, on the River Weaver.
It is scheduled to open in November.
The regeneration of the area is a joint venture between the CRT and scheme promoters Bloc plc. As well as the marina, the new Northwich Quay will include waterside leisure facilities, a Waitrose store and a 58-home development of extra-care housing.
Neil Warren of Land & Water Estates says: “This is a very exciting development for us because it is different to our usual marinas, being smaller, using floating jetties and it’s in a town centre location with good local shops restaurants and bars. We feel it will be an excellent facility for our customers.”
