July issue is out now

A big news story opens this month as the Canal &River Trust has appointed Campbell Robb as its chief executive. The final Boat Test by Adam and Andy is next and this month they test Nighthawk Calling by Kings Bromley Wharf Narrowboats. Next, we have a piece on an Electric day boat and Electrika 2025. Martin follows with a look at the Crick Show – more on that in the August issue.

The Cruise Guide follows and Martin looks at the rivers Lee and Stort, which he follows with the Cruise Guide Extra and this month he looks at two East London waterway connections. Our ongoing boat restoration feature is next and this time Claire is building a window. Bob Weir then reports from a trip he made to the Steam event at the Anderton Lift. The Braunston Historic Rally is coming up and Tim Coghlan gives us a preview of what we can expect at the event and our final feature gives an account of how the phone app –what3words – helped save the life of a canal rose painter.
